C-Suite Executive Growth:

Coached the high-potential head of marketing in a Fortune 500 consumer company in acquiring new skills to take on an enterprise-wide leadership role. Coached on delegation skills, vision, communication strategies, and organizational agility. Worked in close partnership with the executive’s CEO in many joint sessions, to test out and prove the executive’s emerging new skills, especially in strategy development. Outcome was that both the executive and the CEO went on to acquiring new brands and expanded areas of responsibility.

Onboarded the new Creative Director of a Fortune 500 industrial & consumer goods company to integrate the executive’s creative vision with the CEO’s strategies. Coached in selling ideas effectively across divisions, managing interdepartmental conflicts, upgrading staff, and delegating to temperamental creative people while managing for bottom line results. The contract was extended an extra six months due to client satisfaction. Outcome: the executive has been promoted to larger responsibilities and the leadership of more P&L areas.

Onboarded a very senior private equity executive who had to lead a very mixed and challenging portfolio of companies. Coached on influence skills at the most senior levels, including boards of directors and institutional investors. Outcome: the executive was able to communicate difficult realities that helped to solve business problems and enhanced his reputation as a strategic leader inside the company and with outside stakeholders.

A senior Fortune 500 C-Suite Human Resources executive who had been promoted into a new role with expanded functional responsibilities and extensive CEO and board exposure. Coached on defining and honing simplified strategies to manage a multitude of legacy operations. Also worked on CEO and board presentation skills. Outcome: promoted to even higher and wider levels of responsibility.

CEO Succession

Coached the CEO of a professional services firm on succession and next career steps. Did an organizational analysis and 360 that resulted in the next layer of management taking on more responsibilities for client acquisition and managing the talent below them more effectively.

CEO Scaling

Coached talented young CEO of a CPG startup over 5 years. Helped with the challenges of scaling the company rapidly and dramatically. Coached other members of the Management Committee on team collaboration. Outcome: one of the most successful $1+ billion unicorns.

CEO Team Alignment

I did the feedback for the renowned president of a large, complex urban university, plus the feedback for all direct reports and deans. Facilitated feedback/debrief team meetings. Outcomes: clarity around rules of engagement to help senior leadership work together more effectively with each other and with the president. Over the following three years, three senior team members went on to engage me to work with them and their teams at the university, and later at other organizations.

Over the course of three years, coached the CEO of a 4,000-person inpatient healthcare company on communicating strategy and vision. 360 feedback process and team building with direct reports with focus on collaboration across divisions. Leadership training for senior professional staff. Outcome: Dramatically increased employee retention, satisfaction scores and profitability.
